About Jazz Band
Jazz Band is where music gets a little more expressive.
Rehearsing Wednesdays after school, Jazz Band dives into a variety of music, in the world of swing, Latin jazz, big band classics and more. The ensemble features saxophonists, trumpets, clarinets, flutes, and many more instruments which work together to capture the lively energy of jazz.
Jazz Band performs at concerts and school events throughout the year, with the annual Jazz Night event uniquely showcasing the group.
About Concert Band
This ensemble is one of the cornerstone groups of TFSS's music program. Meeting Tuesdays at lunch to rehearse, this group brings together musicians to rehearse a range of pieces from classical repertoire to modern music.
Concert Band hinges on collaboration, as students work together throughout the year to play sets at the annual Winter Concert and Spring Concert. Working together with Mr. Williams as the conductor, they build a full ensemble that brings every piece to life.
About Music Council
Music Council is a leadership club that oversees all the music-related activities at Turner Fenton Secondary School!
We plan concerts, karaoke, and other events to promote music within the school.
No musical talent is required as this is not a performing group. Anyone is free to join! Find general member applications here.
